Last we had heard it was Showtime that was interested in bringing the J.J Abram backed film version of the fantastic Stephen King novel 11/22/63  to the masses but it appears as if things have changed.

Variety is reporting that the 9 hour adaptation will now air on Hulu.  No decision of if it will be made available to Hulu plus customers only but I suspect such things will be revealed in the coming months.  It will be released in 9 one hour long episodes.

J.J. Abrams released the following statement:  “I’ve been a fan of Stephen King since I was in junior high school. The chance to work with him at all, let alone on a story so compelling, emotional and imaginative, is a dream. We are thrilled to be working with Hulu on this very special project.”

Next up – find a cast and start filming.  No word on when all that will go down but keep checking back in as I will update as information dictates.
