Having come of age during the hey day of the VHS era – this proof of concept trailer for Field Of Screams strikes close to my heart. It reminds me of the Eli Roth trailer for Thanksgiving that was included in the Grindhouse double feature a while back. Directors Chris Bahr and Joe La Scola really bring home the look and feel of that by-gone age. Check out this awesome work and we’ll talk more on the other side.
If this trailer rallies the horror troops enough – a feature film could be the result and I’ve gotta say – count me in! This film must be made. Here’s the synopsis for the proposed project:
“In Willow’s Grove, baseball is a way of life. After a bad call during a local championship game, a group of rabid parents corner Stumpy the umpire. They get more than they bargained for when the encounter ends in murder. After almost a decade in a psychiatric hospital, Stumpy returns for revenge on the home team. Grab your peanuts and crackerjack because this bloodbath is going into extra innings!”
If you’re liking what you’re seeing – head on over to the projects Facebook page, give it a like and let the film makers know you’re ready for the home opener.
