One of my favorite films in recent memory has been Behind The Mask – The Rise Of Leslie Vernon – to this day this film has yet to get the respect it is due and I’m thrilled to be able to report that Scream Factory is all set to give this film the love it deserves.
The fan favorite label announced today that come next year they weill be giving Behind The Mask their royal “Collector’s Edtion” treatment and that my friends is nothing but good!
Here’s the announcement they made via social media:
“We’ve always made a point in the past to announce a future special upcoming title on this date and we’re doing the same today. This year’s exciting reveal is that the 2006 horror/satire cult favorite BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON will be joining the Scream Factory family soon!
Look for this all-new Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release in March of next year. More details to be announced end of Nov / early Dec.”
Soon as we get the official press release – the info will be yours to behold.

You know me – always a sucker for damn Bigfoot movie and it looks like another one is coming down the pike. Titled Big Legend – here’s what the big guy has in store for us this time:
“The film follows an ex-soldier named Tyler (Makely) who ventures out into the Pacific Northwest wilderness in hopes of finding answers to the disappearance of his fiance (Spiro). After a series of strange and violent occurrences, Tyler finds himself relying on a mysterious poacher (Robinson) who just might have the answers he is looking for.”
Kevin Makely, Todd A. Robinson, Summer Spiro, and Amanda Wyss star. Yeah – that’s Amanada Wyss from A Nightmare on Elm Street fame.
No word on release date yet but – I do have the key art and a couple of stills for you. Let’s have a look – shall we?
Temple has been bouncing around for a while – changed directors – you know the drill. Turns out that they actually got it made though and they’ve gone and got themselves a poster and a nifty little trailer.
Here’s the brief synopsis:
“Three Americans on a trip to Japan are fascinated by a haunted temple, and, despite warnings from the villagers, decide to spend a night there.”
The film is directed by Michael Barrett who is of no relation to scripter Simon Barrett and stars Logan Huffman, Brandon Tyler Sklenar, and Natalia Warner.
