‘Martyrs’ Remake Gets Some Artwork And A Release Date

Still not real sure how I feel about them giving Pascal Laugier’s “Martyrs’.  It is certainly one that doesn’t require a remake – but since when has that stopped us, right?

Regardless, it’s coming and Anchor Bay just released a one sheet and unfurled the information on when and how will be able to see what The Goetz Brothers have brought to the fold.  Before we go there though – lets revisit the synopsis:

Ten-year-old Lucie flees from the isolated warehouse where she has been held prisoner. Deeply traumatized, she is plagued by awful night terrors at the orphanage that takes her in. Her only comfort comes from Anna, a girl her own age. Nearly a decade later and still haunted by demons, Lucie finally tracks down the family that tortured her. As she and Anna move closer to the agonizing truth, they find themselves trapped in a nightmare – if they cannot escape, a martyr’s fate awaits them…

Alright – lets have a look at that new eye candy, shall we!

We’ll be getting the “limited theatrical” roll out on Jan. 22nd but the majority of us will have to wait till Feb. 2nd when it makes its VOD, DVD and Blu-ray debut.  If anything else shows up between now and then – I’ll toss it your way.
