‘Universal’ Heads To ‘Fargo’ With Their Classic Monsters

I know you have to recall our conversation on ‘Universal Studios’ and their intention to not only reboot their ‘Classic Monsters’ franchise but to rebuild them into a cohesive storyline (think Marvel films) where all the individual films (starting with ‘Dracula Untold’ this year and the announced ‘Mummy’ remake already in the works) will all build towards one big film in which all the monsters will join forces (again – think ‘The Avengers’) to bring all the storylines into one.

Well, another step has been taken down that path as Universal has announced that they have signed Noah Hawley who created, wrote and directed the highly acclaimed FX Network take on ‘Fargo’.  If you haven’t checked the show out, you should.  It’s one of the best things on TV right now.  They’ve brought Hawley on board to write a “yet to be determined” chapter in this classic monster mash up.

I like where ‘Universal’ seems to be heading with some of these choices, Hawley is an unexpected and exciting choice.
